Put human light and warmth in the world!
Amid its particular reality, each family can be the light that illuminates its surroundings—a home whose warmth and tenderness infuse all its surroundings with humanity.
Text
“… there is no stereotype of the ideal family, but rather a challenging mosaic made up of many different realities, with all their joys, hopes and problems”. (The Joy of Love, n.57)
Commentary
I come from a large family in which I have witnessed how the number of problems and difficulties do not make you a worse or better family. The key is to not run away from the seas of life, with their strong winds and big waves. The secret is in the quality of the crew and their vessel, which guarantees we will sail in any circumstance of life. Love gives them the ability to unite, more and more, during the good times and bad.
It is in trials that love and union are strengthened. Problems should not take away our hope of continuing to grow as a family. When a family loves each other –and wants to continue doing so– problems, which are undoubtedly suffered and very much so, are faced as opportunities to love, help and accompany each other, to fight side by side, not to be discouraged, to give each other hope and patience. Never as fights, reproaches, and disunity.
