“With a gaze of faith and love, grace and fidelity, we have contemplated the relationship between human families and the divine Trinity. The word of God tells us that the family is entrusted to a man, a woman, and their children, so that they may become a communion of persons in the image of the union of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Begetting and raising children, for its part, mirrors God’s creative work. The family is called to join in daily prayer, to read the word of God and to share in Eucharistic communion, and thus to grow in love and become ever more fully a temple in which the Spirit dwells.” (The Joy of Love, n.29)
Commentary
A family is not an instrument of reproduction for the human species. A family can only be explained in its entirety when we mention the universe of people. In a family , each one of us, given our uniqueness and singularity, are worth it all, and each member is loved during their whole life. The essence of a family – what frees it from the world of species and situates it in the universe of people – is the love shared throughout the bonds. Said love finds its origin and destination in the Love that binds the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit together in one God. To completely understand the truth and kindness that resides in our families, it is necessary to cast the light of faith, the Holy Scripture, and the knowledge of the Church´s Magisterium.
In the work done at the XIV Ordinary Synod, during the 21 days of sessions, the common factor of the approaches and interventions were the biblical references and the allusion to the Church´s documents. I recommend reading The Joy of Love by Pope Francis. I bet you whatever you want that it will move you and teach you how to better love your own people.
