“The covenant of love and fidelity lived by the Holy Family of Nazareth illuminates the principle which gives shape to every family, and enables it better to face the vicissitudes of life and history. On this basis, every family, despite its weaknesses, can become a light in the darkness of the world. ‘Nazareth teaches us the meaning of family life, its loving communion, its simple and austere beauty, its sacred and inviolable character. Commentary
The authentic culture of a loving encounter arises naturally in family life. The defects of each person lose weight in the face of the communion of love that a family can experience. We all need families united by love to illuminate ordinary life with joy. Wisdom lies in knowing how to love, and in the family, the gift and embrace between parents and children make this possible. A healthy society is composed of imperfect families that love each other madly.
