Commentary
A craftsman usually performs his work by hand. Each piece of work is done one by one. No two are the same because he communicates a unique particularity to each one; a better stroke, greater care, using better raw materials, having more time and tranquility, more patience, etc.
Analogous to craftsmanship, love is also a one-on-one process. One loves in a particular, exclusive, and permanent manner. Furthermore, every love involves sacrifices, bearing some blows, and always doing so for a singular person. Love is as personalized as possible. Let us contemplate the craftsman once more when he takes the burning iron (us), and through blows with the hammer, he smooths unnecessary edges, thus giving it the most suitable form.
The home of Nazareth – another artisan scenario – is the great role model, even though it seems far from our reality.
