To be a happy family

I have many dreams for my life. However, there is one that is the foundation of the rest. I want to have a strong, stable, loving, happy family and I am going to make it a reality!

Text

“…for all the many signs of crisis in the institution of marriage, the desire to marry and form a family remains vibrant, especially among young people…”
(The Joy of Love, n. 1)

Commentary

I am a young professional. I live in the present time. I see families in crisis. Their sufferings move me. Their quarrels impress me. These put me in a defensive and “warning, be careful!” mode. Despite this, I am filled with a sea of precious emotions, joyful hope, a consoling force, and intense tender light. When? When I meet two people who wholeheartedly commit to their love and, therefore, found a marriage. At that wedding, I share the couple´s joy of uniting because it uplifts my faith and hope in true love.

Young adults -my generation- look forward to forming a strong and loving family, faithful and loyal company, even though the environment may seem hostile and we witness several breakups, infidelities, and divorces. These shipwrecks can fill us with fear and insecurity. However, in the depths of our hearts, the dream of loving and truly being loved for all our lifetime remains. It beats within us while repeating: “It’s possible. It’s not easy, but it’s good. Make it come true in your life.”

We can do it! Of course, we can!
